BALZARINI, David Raymond
Pvt. First Class, age 20. Died January 19, 1969 from wounds received during a night time attack by a sapper squad on landing zone (LZ) Cork, Southeast of Ha Thanh Airfield.

BLAIR, William Earl
Spec. 4th Class, age 18. Died July 11, 1968 from a “Bouncing Betty” booby trap while on patrol Northwest of Mo Duc Airfield. The mine was buried in front of a hedge row.

BOBBIT, Arthur
Spec. 4th Class, age 20. Died April 14, 1968 from sniper fire West of Mo Duc Airfield.

BOLAK, Theodore Nicholas
Spec. 4th Class, age 21. Died July 27, 1968 from wounds received when a grenade was tossed into Alpha Company’s night defense position West of Mo Duc Airfield.

Staff SGT, age 24. Died September 30, 1968 from an in-coming 105 mm artillery round while on patrol East of Mo Duc Airfield.

Pvt. First Class, age 21. Died August 15, 1969 from a detonated land mine Northwest of Quang Ngai City.

GOOD, Ray Lynn
Pvt. First Class, age 18. Died February 5, 1969 from an accidental discharge of his weapon, while cleaning it Northwest of Minh Long Airfield. Two others were wounded.

GRENHAM, Lawrence Alphonse
SGT, age 20. Died March 17, 1968 from in-coming mortar rounds received while the company was in night defensive position Northeast of Quang Ngai City.

GUENTHER, Bert Marrion
SGT, age 22. Died November 15, 1970 from wounds received November 13th when a beer can filled with explosives, metal shards and glass exploded, after it was dropped during a search Northwest of Quang Ngai Airfield. See ARIAS.

SGT, age 21. Died July 2, 1969 when the company came under heavy automatic weapons and rocket fire Southeast of Duc Pho.

McGEE, Joseph O’Neil
Pvt. First Class, age 20. Died September 28, 1970 from friendly helicopter fire, while Alpha Company was engaged in a fire fight on Hill 922, Southwest of Quang Ngai Airfield. It is believed the company discovered an enemy base camp and hospital deep inside a hill and had called-in fire support from attack helicopters.

McGUIRE, Wayne Thomas
Spec. 4th Class, age 19. Died March 30, 1968 from wounds received while engaging enemy forces. Location undetermined.

MILLER, Marlin McClelland
1st Lt., age 24. Died June 20, 1971 from a gunshot wound to the chest Southwest of Quang Ngai Airfield. The death was investigated by the Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID) to determine whether or not it was self-inflicted. Results unknown.

MITCHELL, Joseph William
Spec. 4th Class, age 20. Died August 15, 1968 from a detonated 250 lb. bomb buried as a land mine Northwest of Quang Ngai City.

WINDER, David Francis
Pvt. First Class, age 23. Died May 13, 1970 from wounds received during an intense fire fight, after the company became pinned down South of Quang Ngai Airfield. PFC Winder was assigned to battalion’s Headquarters Company but serving as a field medic with Alpha Company.
