BURNS, Ken Dwight
Pvt. First Class, age 21. Died November 13, 1970 from wounds he received on November 12th, when the 2 ½ ton he was a passenger in hit a road mine on rte. 518 West of Quang Ngai. The blast created a crater that was 4’ deep and 8’ wide. The truck was third in a convoy headed to resupply forward supply base (FSB) Hill 4-11. The road had been swept for mines earlier in the day by the Army Corps of Engineers. See CHIPP, KESTLER, LOMBAS, REED, RESKA and EPPS.

CAMPBELL, George Allen
Spec. 4th Class, age 19. Died February 2, 1968 from wounds received when landing zone (LZ) Liz, Southeast of Mo Duc Airfield came under heavy mortar fire.

CANDLER, Donald Priester
1st LT., age 24. Died August 8, 1969 when Bravo Company came under small arms fire Northwest of Quang Ngai Airfield. Lt. Candler was awarded a Silver Star for Valor, posthumously. See BUCHANAN and OLSON.

CARAPEZZA, Richard Allen
Spec. 4th Class, age 20. Died March 1, 1969 by wounds received from in-coming mortar rounds at LZ Bronco, outside Duc Pho.

CHIPP, Donald Warren, Jr
SGT, age 25. Died November 12, 1970 from wounds he received, after the 2 ½ ton truck he was a passenger in hit a road mine on rte. 518 West of Quang Ngai. The blast created a crater 4’ deep and 8’ wide. The truck was third in a convoy headed to resupply FSB Hill 4-11. The road had been swept for mines earlier in the day by the Army Corps. of Engineers. CLAMPFER, Robert Lee
Spec. 4th Class, age 26. Died May 1, 1968 when he hit a trip wire attached to a booby trapped 155 mm artillery round in the vicinity of Van Ha, Southeast of Duc Pho. The booby trap was hidden in a hedge row.

DI BERARDINO, Perry Si
Spec. 4th Class, age 26. Died September 16, 1968 from wounds received September 15th when an 82 mm mortar round hit a trench beside his bunker near Ha Tranh Airfield.

DUKES, Arthur Roger, Jr
SGT, age 23. Died July 17, 1968 from sniper fire while on patrol. Location unknown.

EPPS, Titus Lee
Pvt. First Class, age 21. Died November 12, 1970 from wounds he received, after the 2 ½ ton truck he was a passenger in hit a road mine on rte. 518 West of Quang Ngai. Pvt. First Class, age 18. Died March 4, 1968 when his bunker was hit by a mortar round. The bunker was on the perimeter of landing zone (LZ) Liz, Northwest of Duc Pho.

SGT, age 19. Died November 15, 1969 when the helicopter he was a passenger in was shot down by automatic weapons fire Northeast of Ha Tranh Airfield.

HARLOW, David Hugh
SGT, age 20. Died March 31, 1970 when he hit a pressure type booby trap while searching bunkers near the Tra Khuc River.

HAYES, Lyle Dennis
Pvt. First Class, age 20. Died November 26, 1970 when he tripped a booby- trapped hand grenade, while on patrol West of Quang Ngai Airfield.

HOFFMAN, Robert Allen
Spec. 4th Class, age 20. Died July 31, 1969 from wounds received, when a land mine detonated Northwest of Quang Ngai Airfield. Bravo Company had come under intense small arms fire during an ambush and was moving toward a more secure position.

HOLLINGSWORTH, Joseph Kelly
Pvt. First Class, age 23. Died April 19, 1969 from sniper fire, while on patrol East of Ba To Airfield. See JENSEN.

HOLMES, Joseph
Spec. 4th Class, age 19. Died October 16, 1969 after the company came under fire while on patrol Northeast of Ha Tranh Airfield. See HEILIG.

HUNT, Ralph Wommack
Pvt. First Class, age 22. Died August 1, 1970 after he jumped out of a helicopter at an elevation of between 1,000 – 1,500 feet, Southeast of Quang Ngai Airfield. He was being taken to LZ Bronco for suspicion of being under the influence of drugs.

JENSEN, James Paul
Spec. 4th Class, age 25. Died April 19, 1969 from sniper fire, while on patrol East of Ba To Airfield. See HOLLINGSWORTH.

Pvt. First Class, age 23. Died January 27, 1968 when the ¾ ton truck he was riding in hit a road mine Northwest of Duc Pho. The truck was on a resupply mission.

Pvt. First Class, age 21. Died August 14, 1970 when he fell from a resupply Chinook (CH-46) helicopter, as it was landing Northwest of Quang Ngai. At the time, it was between 20’ – 30’ in the air, with the rear cargo door open.

REED, William Clemon
