Kenyon Kugler's Photos

CPT Kenyon Kugler was the Battalion Surgeon for the 3rd Battalion, 1st Infantry, Americal Division during 1969 and 1970.  In August 2000, he loaned his slides taken during his tour to Dave Eckberg.  Dave Eckberg and Charlie Wood collaborated to sort the slides into a picture show of Dr. Kugler’s tour as follows:

  • The Combat Center at the division headquarters for the Americal Division in Chu Lai
  • LZ Bronco, headquarters of the 11th Brigade, located near the city of Duc Pho
  • FSB Hill 4-11, northwest of Quang Ngai City
  • The Aid Station on FSB Hill 4-11
  • Tu My Village, also called “Tin City”, a friendly village located between FSB Hill 4-11 and Quang Ngai City
  • Nui Tron Village, a friendly village at the base of Observation Post 1 (OP1)
  • Country Fair, a MEDCAP mission across the Song Tra Khuc River near FSB Hill 4-11
  • The Catholic Orphanage in Quang Ngai City
  • Ly Son Island, an R&R center off the coast of South Vietnam
  • 91st Evac Hospital at the Americal Division headquarters in Chu Lai
