SP5 Greg King was a medic assigned to Alpha Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Infantry. He was a medic in the 1st and 2nd platoons and the CP during 1968 and 1969.
This is a great shot of LZ Cork showing a Chinook landing and the trench system between bunkers. It was anticipated that LZ Cork would receive heavy action and possible overruns. The 3rd Battalion, 1st Infantry spent a lot of time engaging the 3rd NVA Division.

Inside the sandbagged area and from the left are Chaplain Ron Benzing, Battalion Surgeon CPT DeCardenas, and Battalion Commander LTC George Ellis. Outside the sandbagged area and first on the left is Major Tom Vaughn, Battalion XO.

Here is a Montagnard Village, located in an area suspected to be in Cambodia. Alpha Company came across this village while looking for a downed F-4 Phantom jetfighter and its pilot.
This is a small band of Montagnard tribesmen (modernized) who assisted Alpha Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Infantry in looking for the downed F-4 Phantom jetfighter. These guys were real tickled about getting their picture taken.
This is Sen Sen, a VC who “Chu Hoied” and worked with the line companies in the 3rd Battalion, 1st Infantry.
This is a view of the fishing village across from LZ Charlie Brown, which was a peninsula that jutted out into the bay with the South China Sea on the other side.
