Faces on the Wall

This collection of photos and biographical information was compiled by Les Hines, who served with the 123rd Aviation Battalion. As helicopter crew chief, Les flew numerous missions in support of the 3/1 Infantry Battalion
When asked why he took on the task of such extensive research, Les replied, “I came away with a great respect for the infantrymen in the field. I had difficulty understanding how they could continue to sustain casualties like they did and continue soldiering day after day”
